Compact26 Call for Session Proposals

Campus Compact is now accepting proposals for the Compact26 annual conference, which will take place March 16-18 in Chicago, IL. We seek proposals that explore our theme—Hope Found Here: Advancing Civic & Community Engagement through Compassion, Action & Unity.
Proposals are due October 10, 2025.

We are particularly interested in proposals that explore the key topic areas listed below. The intention of these key areas is not to limit but to inspire and energize potential presenters around critical issues that show up in their work and the civic and community engagement field as a whole.  All sessions should balance learning and exchange, represent a variety of perspectives, and meaningfully contribute to racial justice, equity, and inclusion goals.

Key topic areas:
  • Addressing systemic inequities & wicked societal problems
  • Storytelling, assessment & impact
  • Authentic campus-community partnerships
  • Bridge building, dialogue, & discourse to support an engaged democracy
  • Centering mental health, belonging, & well-being
  • Civic learning & student success strategies
  • Infrastructure & support for community engagement
  • Student-led, student-driven engagement & leadership
To encourage diverse opportunities for learning & exchange, sessions may take one of the following formats: Roundtable, Poster, Author Talk, Knowledge-to-Action Workshop, or Promising Practice.
