Scholarships may be granted for the cost of the program fee. Recipients of the scholarships will be determined after participants have been selected, and will be based on ensuring an inclusive and equitable cohort.

Letter of Interest

Each nominee must upload an Interest Letter, not to exceed three pages, addressing the following:

1. Your commitment to and experience with community-engaged teaching and/or research and/or your experience as a community engagement professional.

2. Your experience and identity as a mid-career faculty or staff member in higher education and in your local campus context. What are the challenges and opportunities you would like to explore with this learning community?

3. Reflection on the identities and strengths you would contribute to this engagement collaborative (Longo & Gibson, 2016) cohort and what you hope to gain by participating in it.

Current Curriculum Vitae or Resume

Each applicant is required to submit a current curriculum vitae or resume, not to exceed eight pages, which is focused on their community engagement work.

Letter of Support

Each nominee is required to provide a Letter of Support from their institution's president/chancellor and/or chief academic/student affairs officer. A letter of support can also come from a Dean, chair, or direct supervisor. This letter should not exceed two pages and should express the following:

1. Support for the nominee’s participation in the Mid-Career Learning Community;

2. A description of the institution’s support for community engagement and any foreseen institutional benefits due to the nominee’s participation in the program; and,

3. A commitment to supporting the time needed for the nominee to participate as well as covering the nominee’s Mid-Career Learning Community program fee.
